• Introduction

Monifex is an online money transfer service which allows customers to send USD to multiple states within the United States. This platform is offered to customers on the condition that they accept all of these terms and conditions. This platform is owned and operated by OIT Africa Limited which is located at Ikigai Lavington, 90 James Gichuru Road,2nd Floor on 90 JGO Building, Nairobi, Kenya.

Please make sure that you read the following terms and conditions carefully. If there is anything that you do not understand or agree with then you may not use this website or services.

• Registering for an account
  • In order to use the money transfer services offered by Monifex then all users must register for an account.
  • In order to register for an account all customers must agree to the following:
    • That they will provide true, accurate and current information about themselves as well as any other information which is requested of them when they complete the registration process.
    • To ensure that they will keep this information accurate and up to date and that it is amended whenever necessary.
    • Any users found to be submitting false information will have their account terminated with immediate effect and any future use of the platform blocked.
• Terms of Service
  • All customers agree that they will use the Monifex platform for their own personal and business use.
  • Customers are advised to only send money to people that they know and trust.
  • Customers shall not copy, distribute or modify any part of the service.
  • Customers shall not redistribute any part of this service by downloading or storing any part of this service.
  • Customers shall not do anything that violates the intellectual property rights of this service.
  • Customers shall not engage in any illegal or fraudulent activity as part of this service.
  • We reserve the right to deny you access to this service at any point and without prior notice.
  • Customers may only create one account per person and customers may not create accounts or submit money on behalf of anyone else.
  • All customers must agree to these terms and conditions before creating an account with us as well as confirming that they are at least 18 years of age.
  • In order to fully use these services then customers will be required to provide some of their personal information. All personal information which is submitted will be kept on secure servers which are protected by encryption technology.
  • Customers must provide personal information which has not expired and which they have the legal right to use.
• Intellectual Property Rights
  • Customers are granted permission to use this service only in accordance with these terms and conditions.
• Sending money with Monifex
  • When customers create an account with us and use our platform to send money, they need to ensure the recipient details are correct.
  • When a customer makes a transaction, they are agreeing that they have read, and fully understood these terms and conditions.
  • We may accept or reject a customers request for us to transfer money on their behalf in our sole discretion.
  • We will only be able to process transactions where the correct information has been provided.
  • We will not be liable for any transactional errors which are made, in the event that the wrong information has been provided.
  • Customers will be able to view all the details of the current and historic transfers by logging into their account.
  • The Monifex service is suitable only for customers wishing to send money in USD within the United States. We do not offer an international transfer service.
Payments & Refunds
  • Once a customer has decided how much they wish to send, they will be presented with a summary page detailing the amount they will be transferring and what they will need to pay.
  • We ask that all customers double-check the amounts they are sending. once payment has been completed, the transfer is executed immediately.As our transfers are instant, refunds are generally not given unless there is a fault on our end.

  • If our system experiences delays or has made a mistake of some sort, please contact us immediately and we will look to resolve the issue right away. A refund will be given if we are not able to resolve the issue for whatever reason.
• Cancellations
  • We are unable to cancel any transactions once they have been processed or completed. In the event that you need to cancel a transfer then it is the customer’s responsibility to make personal arrangements for reimbursement with the recipient. For this reason it is important to only send money to people that you know and trust.
  • Customers may cancel their account at any time.
  • We may cancel any transactions if we believe that the person(s) involved pose any risk to our platform and services.
  • Customers are advised to contact customer services as soon as possible if they are experiencing any issues with the Monifex platform. In particular customers are advised to inform us if they suspect that there has been any unauthorised access to their account, or if there is any suspicious behaviour on the platform which has come to their attention.
• Disclaimers
  • We do not warrant that your access and use of these services will be timely or error free or that the website will be free from viruses which are beyond our control.
  • In the event of a technical issue then we may have to suspend our services for a short period of time.
  • We may carry out maintenance of the website from time to time which may result in a disruption to the service.
  • Once a payment has been made we will have no responsibility for it and we ask that all customers only send money to people using the Monifex platform and to people that they know and trust.
• Indemnification

Customers agree to indemnify or hold us harmless from any claim or demand, including any legal fees which are made by any third party due to or arising from your use of the Monifex service or any violation of these terms and conditions.

• Security and AML (Anti money laundering)
  • We take your security very seriously at Monifex and we have a number of security measures in place including the most up-to-date technology to ensure the protection of your personal information and financial information at all times.
  • Please make sure that you also read our privacy policy alongside these terms and conditions in order to fully understand how we use your personal information and how this information is protected.
  • We take AML (anti money laundering) and the financing of terrorism very seriously and there are a number of security checks involved for all customers to ensure that we maintain our zero tolerance policy to any such behaviour or activities.
  • When customers register for an account with us then we will check and register all of their information in order to verify their identity through the KYC (Know Your Customer) verification process. This is for the security of our platform as well as for the added security of all of our customers and users.
